2016 Curves Rock Fashion Weekend Highlights
In case you aren’t aware, curves rock! The plus size community is on fire right now! Now, clothiers are paying more attention to the women that buy their clothing. Because of social media and the power of bloggers/influencers, women now have more choices in what they wear. This spring, People Style dedicated an entire issue to blogger babes who rock! And as we discussed last week, plus model icon, Ashley Graham, was featured on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover.
Curvy women can be seen all over the place, so it’s only fitting that they grace the runway, too. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the Curves Rock Fashion Weekend in Baltimore, MD. The event, sponsored in part by Ashley Stewart, showcased some of the best emerging talent the industry has to offer. Check out some of my favorite looks of the night!
Ashley Stewart
It’s only fitting that we start this post with one of major staples in the curvy community. Ashley Stewart came out swinging with amazing lingerie and pre-fall looks. My favorite had to be the blue leotard because the design covered up the not-so-hot spots and created a cute peek-a-boo effect. Total Chicness
The next designer on my fav list is Total Chicness. This designer killed it with her blend of unique dresses and swimwear. My favorite item from their collection was this cute red pearl beaded dress pictured below. As you can see, it’s all business in the front with a dose of serious curvy sass in the back.
