‘Tis the Season…For Holiday Fashion

P1020103

Happy Holidays! ‘Tis the season for family, friends and celebrating this special time of year. I especially love this season because there are holiday parties galore. And what’s a holiday party without a little glitz and glam? Check out these holiday looks from Fashion to Figure and Talltique that will ensure you’ll be ready for anything from a last-minute date night to an evening holiday party. Comment above with your favorite look.

Cas-Chic (Casual Meets Chic)

Sometimes, you only have a few minutes to get ready (I know…it’s a horrible thought…lol). That’s why having a great pair of pants and a set of dazzling tops is essential. I love these two looks because they’re simple yet chic. In both instances, the top has a little flair that complements the slimming silhouette of the pants. The royal blue shirt has a double ‘high-low’ effect in the front/back and sides, which helps to tuck away anything you don’t want accentuated. The chiffon-like material is super light and figure flattering (which is helpful if you have one too many rolls at dinner…lol). The second look also features flowy top. The sheerness, glitter and bottom fringe design make this a trifecta of last-minute holiday glam. And I can’t move on from these outfits without talking about the pants. I mean, c’mon — did you see how awesome my legs look?!? These Leather Look Jeggings are from the tall boutique, Talltique. They’re made from vegan leather, which is just manmade materials designed to mimic the look of leather without the high price tag or harm to animals. I absolutely LOVE these pants for not only their slimming ability, but also their length and comfort. You’ll see more details in my full review/Talltique haul coming soon — just know they’re AMAZING!

Glitter Glam (After Five Attire)

Going to a holiday party? No problem. These next looks are sure to help you ensure all eyes stay glued on your every move. When I saw the Arya Laser Cut dress in my local Fashion to Figure store, I just knew I had to have it! What drew me to this particular piece was the color — nice and bold — and the top detail. As curvy girls, we don’t always want to show full arms. This dress is the perfect way to grab attention in all the right places. The unique details will have everyone complimenting you all night. The dress was so popular that it sold out. Here’s a similar option from ASOS. The final holiday look is probably my favorite of all. This look combines a sequined dress I purchased from Fashion to Figure a few years ago with an off white faux fur hi-low vest. I love this look because of the mix in textures. As you know, lately, I’ve been loving pairing seemingly odd things together. It’s truly the perfect balance of fierceness and class.

  1. I like glitter and leather for the holiday but I don’t really like the traditional red and greens of the seasons. I do love gold and silver though. I’m trying to work on the jewelry accessory component. Work in progress. P.S. Love your look, it’s an inspiration 🙂

    1. Ohhh, sparkles and leather sound AMAZING!! I love that textured combo! Yeah, I’ve yet to wear a lot of the traditional “holiday” colors but I couldn’t resist that red dress…ha ha ha. Accessories are a great way to liven up an outfit. I’m working on accessorizing a little more, too. Thanks for checking out the blog. I really appreciate it! ?

  2. You take great photos. Are you sure you’re not a model in disguise? Love the holiday fashions.

  3. Your photos for the newsletter are beautiful. You should consider a modeling career.

    1. That’s so sweet! Thank you!! What’s your favorite type of style to wear during the holidays? Do you prefer ‘glitter glam,’ solids, prints or a mix of all three?
