Ok, before you roll your eyes — hear me out. Shopping for a tall / curvy girl can be challenging. Let me tell you from experience — we HATE getting gifts from our ‘average’ sized friends / family that don’t fit. I can’t tell you how many short pajama pants, tight sweaters and small slippers I’ve received. Instead of buying a generic Visa/AMEX gift card, put a little thought into it by giving her a personalized gift from a speciality boutique. Here are a few of my faves:

Tall / curvy girls like me don’t really get to take advantage of too many “one size fits most” items. Clearly “one size” isn’t fitting most of my legs or curves – ha! Nevertheless, one area where tall / curvy girls like me shine is with our accessories. A nice blanket or pashmina scarf is cost effective, chic and thoughtful. Can you say ‘scarf-game #onfleek’?!? If you’re short on time, check your local Ross, Marshall’s, etc., but if you have Amazon Prime (like me), check out one of my faves.
Makeup

Now that you’ve adorned your tall / curvy friend with all the clothes and makeup she can stand, it’s time to feed her soul. Ok…I know Christmas is over and I’m a bit late but these are great tips. I love the idea of buying a tall girl a gift card to a tall shop, and I also agree that it’s best NOT to buy tall ladies apparel or footwear items because they might turn out to be ill-fitting.
